Tumbling Classes

BEGINNER CLASS

The beginner tumbling class is designed to build or improve upon the basic building blocks and body positions used through all levels of tumbling. During this classes time we will be focusing on correct hurdles, rebounds, blocks, sets and other critical tumbling technique.

Requirements: No experience is required for this class.

Skills worked on in this class:
* Handstands
* Basic motor skills
* Cartwheels
* Round Offs
* Back hanspring technique

Wednesdays 5-6 pm

Fridays 7-8 pm

Saturdays 10 - 11 am

 

 INTERMEDIATE CLASS

The Intermediate class is designed for the athlete who has proper technique of the basic tumbling elements such as a forward and backward roll, cartwheel, and round off. Athletes will work towards performing their back-handsprings with proper technique and without a spot in this class.

Requirements: Athletes in this class should be able to perform a back handspring, standing and running, with a LIGHT spot.

* Round off - back handspring
* Standing back handspring
* Jump to back handspring
* Multiple back handsprings

Wednesdays 6-7 pm

Fridays 8-9 pm

Saturdays 11-12 am

 

ADVANCED CLASS 

The advanced class is for athletes looking to progress to the most crucial level of tumbling, the back tuck. Proper training and technique of this trick is critical for athletes to progress to the next level.

Requirements: Athlete must be able to perform a standing back handspring and a round off - back handspring to enroll in this class.

Skills work on in this class:
* Round off - back handspring - back tuck
* Standing back tuck
* Jumps to back tuck
* Standing back handspring - back tuck
* Multple back handsprings - back tuck

Wednesdays 7-8 pm

Fridays 8-9 pm

Saturdays 12-1 

 

ELITE CLASS

The elite class is for athletes who are working on layouts, fulls, double fulls, and trick passes. In order to be in this class, athletes should already have mastered a round off back-handspring - back tuck and a standing back tuck.

Requirements: Athletes must be able to successfully perform a standing back tuck and a round off - back handspring - back tuck. YOU MUST BE INVITED TO JOIN THIS CLASS IN ORDER TO REGISTER

Skills worked on in thiis class:
* Layouts
* Multiple back handsprings to layouts
* Multiple elite jumps to standing tuck
* Full twisting layouts
* Double twisting layouts
* Trick passes such as front throughs, whips, and bounders.

Wednesdays 7-8 pm

Fridays 8-9 pm

Saturdays 12-1 noon

 

TWIST CLASS

Twist class os for all those wishing to work on their fulls, double fulls, or twisting trick passes.

Requirements: Athletes MUST already have a layout in order to enroll in this class.

COST:
$10 / class when signed up for the whole session.
$15 / class for a walk - in.

Mondays 6:30-7:30 pm
